Your Role

First Federation Trust, a multi academy trust of 29 primary schools across Devon and Dorset are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and highly motivated individual to work alongside the class teacher across all areas of the curriculum at Whitchurch Primary School


This is a fixed term position until 31st August 2026 for 25.5 hours per week (with the possibility that it will be extended).


We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and highly motivated individual to support a pupil with complex needs and you may also be required to provide support to SEND pupils in small groups as directed by the Class Teacher. You will be values driven and will care deeply about improving outcomes for all children. 


The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Establish constructive relationships with the pupil and encourage interaction with others
  • To promote inclusion through the development of social skills, language and emotional well-being.
  • Liaise with other professionals both within and outside the school
  • You will be expected to show a high degree of initiative and be able to react to given situations with integrity and compassion
