Your Role

We are seeking a Catering Assistant to join our busy catering team at Brixington Primary School. The post reports to the catering manager.  As a Catering Assistant, you will ensure a high level of food preparation, cooking, and service in line with our standards and policies. You will provide courteous and efficient service to students, and staff, assist with basic cooking, and maintain cleanliness and food hygiene.


The working hours are Monday to Friday 10am to 2pm, term time only.


To excel in this role, you will need 

  • basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene, training will be provided.
  • an understanding of health and safety practices
  • the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • experience in a catering environment and working with children which is desirable.
  • a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children which is essential.

Qualifications

Food Hygiene certificate
