Your Role

Westcliff Primary Academy is seeking to appoint, from September 2026, a part time 0.5, permanent Assistant Head with a teaching responsibility in KS2 and work as part of the leadership team at Westcliff Primary Academy.


We will be excited to hear from leaders with strengths in curriculum, assessment and those who have a proven track record of raising standards.

We are a vibrant coastal community primary school, with approximately 340 pupils on roll, that is on a journey of improvement.

The school offers a warm and supportive team environment, with collaborative learning opportunities, CPD, team working and an innovative, ambitious and supportive leadership team. The school caters for pupils from 4-11and is situated in the seaside town of Dawlish of the south coast of Devon, within easy access of the M5, A38 and A380. 


As an Assistant Head you will focus on key aspect of school improvement; supported by an experienced School and Trust Leadership Team.  This is a teaching role with weekly leadership release time. This is a full-time role and not suitable for ECTs.
