Your Role

West Hill Primary Academy, are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed SEN Associate Teacher to join their talented and supportive team in their Specialist Resource Base Provision on a fixed term basis.

The role is for 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm, 38 weeks per year, term time only. The full-time salary is currently paid at £26,168 (September 2026 pay), pro-rata to an actual annual salary of £19,610.16

We are looking for someone who is: 

  1. able to contribute to, and work as part of a team 
  2. ideally has experience working with children with learning difficulties or delivering interventions
  3. passionate about enabling every child to fulfil their potential 
  4. hold a TA qualification with GCSEs in English & Maths A-C or equivalent
  5. committed to high expectations of children's learning and behaviour 
  6. excellent communication and personal skills and a flexible attitude.

Qualifications

5 GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 4-9) or equivalentdesirable

Skills

CPD / Training

Knowledge of policies and procedures relating to child protection and safeguarding
Basic knowledge of paediatric first aid an advantage
Basic IT skills
Numeracy and literacy skills

Qualifications
