Clerk to Governors

Casual Contract | Approximately 10-15 Hours Per Month

Grade 6 SCP 7-11 £14.14-£15.07 per hour

Oakmeadow CE Primary and Nursery School is seeking a professional, organised and reliable individual to join us as a Clerk to Governors.

This flexible role provides administrative and procedural support to our Governing Body, helping to ensure meetings run effectively and statutory governance responsibilities are fulfilled.

About the Role

The Clerk to Governors will:

1. Prepare and distribute agendas and supporting papers for meetings.
2. Attend Governing Body and committee meetings (usually held in the evening).
3. Take accurate minutes and maintain official records.
4. Provide procedural advice and guidance to Governors.
5. Maintain governor membership, training and compliance records.
6. Support the effective operation of school governance.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

1. Has excellent organisational and administrative skills.
2. Can produce accurate minutes and written documentation.
3. Has strong communication and IT skills.
4. Is able to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
5. Can meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
6. Has experience in administration, governance or education (desirable but not essential).
