Site Assistant


Pay Scale NJC Grade D, Points 7 - 11


37 Hours per week – Term time only (39 weeks) + 10 days holiday work


The Site Assistant will be required to work under the line management of the Site Manager and Academy Business Lead to assist in the security, cleaning and general maintenance of the school premises and driving of the school mini bus in order to provide:


  • A secure and safe working environment for our academy community.
  • An outstanding learning environment.
  • An energy efficient and eco-friendly school where recycling waste materials and resources matters.


 Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Expertise in minor maintenance and repair;
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures for security, alarm systems, health and safety, minor repairs & maintenance, supervision of contract and cleaning staff;
  • Experience of communicating with school staff and external contractors (for repairs and maintenance)
  • Full clean driving license


Personal qualities of reliability, trustworthiness, pride in your workmanship, a high level of health and safety awareness in the workplace and an excellent health and attendance record are essential qualities for this position.
