Your Role

EHCP Annual Review Coordinator

Grade E | 37 hours per week | Term Time Only plus 3 weeks

Applebee Wood School is seeking a highly organised and proactive EHCP Annual Review Coordinator to join our administration team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to take on a key role coordinating the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) Annual Review process across our school. You will work closely with the Senior Management Team, teaching staff, parents and carers, local authorities and other professionals to ensure that Annual Reviews are well organised, accurate and completed within the required statutory timescales.

The role will include planning and coordinating the Annual Review schedule, organising meetings, supporting staff with the preparation of documentation, quality assuring paperwork, maintaining accurate records and monitoring the process to ensure deadlines and statutory requirements are met.

We are looking for someone who is organised, methodical and able to manage competing priorities, with excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills. You will need to be confident communicating with a wide range of people and comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information. Previous experience of EHCPs or working within an education or SEND environment would be an advantage, but we are equally interested in applicants with strong administrative skills and the ability and enthusiasm to develop their knowledge in this area.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  1. Excellent administration and organisational skills, with a high level of accuracy
  2. The ability to plan and prioritise a busy workload and work effectively to deadlines
  3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  4. Confidence in liaising with parents, carers, colleagues, local authorities and other professionals
  5. The ability to maintain accurate and confidential records
  6. Good ICT skills, including Microsoft Office
  7. A positive, proactive and solution-focused approach
  8. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  9. A commitment to supporting the best possible outcomes for our children and young people

The post reports to the School Business Lead and will work closely with the school's Senior Management Team.

Working pattern

This is a 37-hour per week, Term Time Only plus 3 weeks position.

Typical working hours are:

Friday: 8:30am to 4:00pm

We recognise that some applicants may require a degree of flexibility around their working pattern. We are therefore happy to consider reasonable requests for alternative start and finish times for the right candidate, while ensuring the requirements of the role and the school are met.
