Following the departure of our long-standing and dedicated Headteacher Cantrell Primary School, a member school of Transform Trust, is seeking an inspirational, visible leader. A leader who has presence, is ambitious and puts children at the heart of their decision making. A leader who has an unrelenting passion for school improvement and can offer the best opportunity for success to not only our pupils but staff and community too. Our staff team are experienced and committed. Our parents, Governors and community are engaged and have much to offer. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proven senior leader to continue making a difference to our whole school community.

Cantrell is a two-form entry school in Bulwell, Nottingham City.  Our commitment to a strong start for all pupils is evident in our Early Years offer. We are an active school where Sports and enrichment is a strength. Our new leader will need to embrace all that Cantrell has to offer alongside driving a culture of ambition and excellence that will enable all to flourish.

We are looking for a headteacher who will:  

  • Be hands-on with an active presence around school.
  • Know our community and the context it serves.
  • Have a proven record of achievement in primary education.
  • Have the skills to drive forward positive change for now and the future
  • Have ambition for all children to achieve the highest standards.
  • Have experience of leading people, developing their expertise and holding to account.
  • Be visionary and creative, leading with honesty and integrity.
