We are seeking an experienced, organised and highly motivated School Operations Manager to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with strong leadership, financial and organisational skills to play a pivotal role in the smooth and effective running of our school.
As a key member of the school's leadership support team, you will oversee the day-to-day operational management of the school, ensuring that our administrative, financial, HR and compliance systems are efficient, effective and fully compliant. Your work will enable school leaders to focus on delivering the very best outcomes for our pupils.
About the Role
The successful candidate will:
- Lead and develop the school's administrative functions, ensuring high-quality systems and processes.
- Work closely with the Headteacher, Trust colleagues and Governors to support financial planning, budget monitoring and value for money.
- Manage HR administration, recruitment processes, payroll submissions and the Single Central Record.
- Oversee school administration including pupil data, census returns, educational visits and website compliance.
- Ensure effective management of health and safety, data protection and statutory compliance.
- Support strategic planning and contribute to school improvement as a valued member of the leadership support team.
- Line manage office and support staff, promoting a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement.
We Are Looking For Someone Who Has:
- Experience in managing complex administrative systems.
- Experience of financial administration and budget monitoring.
- Knowledge of HR processes, payroll administration and safer recruitment.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Strong ICT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and school management systems.
- The ability to build positive relationships with staff, parents, governors and external agencies.
- A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience of working within a school or educational setting is desirable.
