Lawn Primary School is seeking to appoint a Level 1 Teaching Assistant to support the class teacher with teaching and learning in the classroom and contribute to the management of pupil behaviour by encouraging positive behaviour in the classroom.

Lawn Primary School is an outstanding nurturing primary school with 425 pupils. We are located in a leafy Suburb of Derby with extensive grounds and buildings.

You will:


  1. have the patience to provide group support to children with additional needs;
  2. be creative in your approach to learning and delivering the curriculum;
  3. have high expectations of pupils’ achievements and a commitment to excellent standards;
  4. work well as part of a team
  5. be literate and numerate;
  6. be enthusiastic, energetic and committed to making learning exciting;
  7. have excellent communication skills with children and adults
