Lawn Primary School is seeking to appoint a Care Assistant to support a child with their day to day care needs and contribute to the management of pupil behaviour and development.

Lawn Primary School is an outstanding nurturing primary school with 436 pupils. We are located in a leafy Suburb of Derby with extensive grounds and buildings.

We warmly welcome applications from motivated, nurturing individuals to join our dedicated and highly effective team as soon as possible. The role is to support a specific pupil with extremely high learning needs.

You will:


  1. have the patience to provide group support to children with additional needs;
  2. be creative in your approach to learning and delivering the curriculum;
  3. have high expectations of pupils’ achievements and a commitment to excellent standards;
  4. work well as part of a team
  5. be literate and numerate;
  6. be enthusiastic, energetic and committed to making learning exciting;
  7. have excellent communication skills with children and adults
