Your Role

Our School

Uxbridge High School is a vibrant and ambitious school delivering a gold standard education that enriches students academically, socially, and emotionally. Proud to Make Success Happen, we work with students, families, and staff to ensure every student reaches their potential. We take pride in our diverse and ambitious students, our dedicated staff, and strong community partnerships.

Our PROUD values – Positive, Respectful, Open-minded, Unique and Determined – guide all aspects of school life.

Uxbridge High School Academy Trust is committed to creating an environment where staff feel supported, challenged, and valued. This is reflected in our gold standard approach to teaching, curriculum, and professional development. Our People Strategy. outlines how we invest in and value staff as an essential part of the school community.

The Department

The Principal’s office works closely with the school’s office team, which provides a professional first point of contact for staff, students, parents, trustees and visitors. Together, the team supports the smooth running of front-of-house operations and coordinates travel, hospitality and events for the Senior Leadership Team.

The Principal’s office often provides the first contact that families, visitors and partners have with Uxbridge High School. The postholder is therefore expected to reflect the school’s PROUD values and “Gold Standard for All” ethos with professionalism, discretion and calm efficiency at all times. The postholder reports to the Principal and works closely with the Office Manager.

The Role

We are seeking a proactive, adaptable and discreet PA to the Principal. This role has a strong digital focus: the postholder will use AI and digital tools to work efficiently, reduce administrative burden and free up leadership time for what matters most.

The postholder will manage the Principal's time, information and priorities, anticipate what is ahead and act as the first point of contact for staff, trustees, parents and external partners. They will use AI and digital tools to accelerate drafting, summarising and research, track actions from leadership meetings and automate routine administration, applying sound professional judgement and a final human check for accuracy, tone and confidentiality, in line with data protection and safeguarding requirements.

We are looking for someone with experience of supporting senior leaders, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and effective working relationships at every level. The successful candidate will have meticulous attention to detail, strong written communication and complete discretion. They will be confident using technology, or keen to develop these skills, with a continuous-improvement mindset and the flexibility to adapt as the school's needs change.

Whether you are an experienced PA or an administrator ready for the next step in your career, we offer a supportive environment in which to develop. If you are ready to help shape how the Principal's office woks in future, we look forward to receiving your application

Please note that the school reserves the right to close this vacancy prior to the stated deadline should a sufficient number of applications be received. Early application is therefore strongly advised.
