The Department

The English Department at Uxbridge High School is committed to providing a strong and rigorous foundation at Key Stage 3 that prepares students effectively for GCSE study at Key Stage 4. The curriculum is carefully designed to expose pupils to challenging, high‑quality texts that develop key knowledge and skills over time, including the study of Renaissance drama and Shakespeare to build early literary familiarity and cultural understanding

The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of English to join our ambitious, inclusive, and supportive English department. You will deliver high-quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach at Key Stage 5 for suitably qualified candidates. This role is suitable for both Early Career Teachers looking to develop their practice and experienced teachers seeking a new challenge within a collaborative and forward-thinking department
