Your Role

Join Our Team as a Classroom-Based SEN Teaching Assistant Level 2

At St Paul's CE Primary School part of the vibrant Vantage CE Academies Trust, we believe every child deserves to feel inspired, supported and excited about learning. Since 2012, our Trust has grown to ten schools across Manchester, Trafford, Salford, Bolton and Knowsley; each one a place where children and adults achieve more together.

Our shared curriculum and approach to teaching and learning bring our schools together with a clear, ambitious vision, and we nurture pupils who are:

Resilient • Ethical • Communicators • Collaborators • Thinkers • Adaptable • Empathetic • Respectful

These values shape everything we do, and we’re looking for someone who shares them.

We also recognise that working in a classroom can be incredibly rewarding and at times demanding. There will be moments when you’ll need strong behaviour‑management skills, the abiity to remain calm under pressure, and the resilience to navigate challenges. Throughout it all, kindness, empathy and a child‑centred mindset remain at the heart of the role.

We’re looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant Level 2 who:

  • Has experience supporting children in a school or nursery setting
  • Holds a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent)
  • Understands how to work alongside teachers to plan, deliver and reflect on engaging learning
  • Sets high expectations and believes every child can succeed
  • Brings creativity, enthusiasm and a nurturing approach to the classroom
  • Can remain positive, patient and solution‑focused when faced with challenges
  • Thrives as part of a supportive, dedicated team

If you’re passionate about helping children grow in confidence, curiosity and independence, you’ll fit right in.

In return, we offer:

  • A warm, inclusive and diverse school community
  • Friendly, motivated and highly skilled colleagues who genuinely care
  • Opportunities to collaborate with staff across the Vantage Academy Trust
  • Strong commitment to your professional development and career growth
  • Supportive leadership who value your voice and your wellbeing
  • Access to an extensive staff benefits package

Actual Salary for part time and term time working: £16,564.29 per annum (Term Time Only + 5 INSET Days)
