Your Role

We seek to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and dynamic Assistant Vice Principal to join our Senior Leadership Team. We need a strong, effective leader who will bring a passion and a strong work ethic focusing on leading the school’s SEND department and carrying out the role of the school SENDCO. The successful candidate must have completed the NASENCO qualification or have/be working towards the NPQ SENCO and have experience of being the named SENDCO in a similar setting.


You will be specifically responsible for embedding policy and practice in relation to SEND by ensuring all staff are clear about their roles and accountabilities. You will work closely with the Executive Principal and Vice Principal (SEND & Inclusion) to ensure the school continue to meet its statutory duties in relation to SEND and provides the appropriate levels of support to those pupils with EHCP’s and on the school’s SEN register.  


Other specific elements of the role will be decided upon once in post. This role will require the skills, dedication and work ethic consummate with that of a senior leader alongside a willingness to support and challenge all stakeholders.
