Your Role

Wade Deacon Trust is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice ICT Technician to support our busy ICT team and contribute to our Commitment to Excellence. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for technology who is ready to learn, develop new skills and gain hands-on experience in a real school environment.

As an Apprentice ICT Technician, you’ll play a key role in supporting staff and students with day‑to‑day IT needs. You will learn how to maintain hardware, troubleshoot technical issues, build and set up new devices, manage user accounts, and help keep our network running smoothly. You will be working across a variety of systems, equipment and software while developing valuable customer service and problem‑solving skills.

This apprenticeship is ideal for someone with good ICT literacy, a positive attitude, and a desire to grow within a supportive educational setting. If you are organised, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to a forward-thinking Trust, we would love to hear from you.

We can offer the successful candidates an opportunity to work with highly trained and supportive staff, as well as a whole school commitment to professional development, since we believe that staff development is a fundamental aspect in raising standards further for our students. Our school community is also a highly rewarding place to work. A comprehensive programme of CPD and a commitment to wellbeing supports colleagues at all career stages; through the School and the Trust, we provide excellent career opportunities for our staff. Colleagues seeking a varied, challenging and rewarding career can find this in the Wade Deacon family.

The Wade Deacon Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory medical clearance.
