Your Role

The Head of HR leads the delivery of a comprehensive, high-quality Human Resources service across the school, empowering the HR team to execute a forward thinking People Strategy. Aligning directly with the school’s Strategic Vision and School Development Plan, you will serve as a key advisor to the Senior Leadership Team and Governing Body, driving strategic change, embedding core values, and continuously evaluating HR systems to optimise operational delivery.

In this role, you will oversee end to end recruitment strategies to attract and retain exceptional academic and operational talent, ensuring strict adherence to statutory Safer Recruitment regulations. You will embed Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) principles across all employment practices and lead robust staff appraisal and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) frameworks that foster continuous growth, high performance, and capability across the institution.

Additionally, you will direct HR operations to deliver expert guidance on complex employee relations, policy development, and statutory compliance. A central priority will be championing a proactive staff wellbeing strategy that supports mental and physical health, monitors engagement, and cultivates a supportive, resilient working culture across every department.
