West Kirby School & College is Seeking to Appoint a Dedicated Premises Manager

Closing Date: 31st August 2026 9am

Salary: £37,856 - £45,002.88 (pt 23 – pt 27)

Permanent Contract: 52 weeks

25 days Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays

Hours: 36 hours per week

8:30am – 5:00pm (Mon – Thurs), 8:30am – 3:30pm (Fri)

Role Overview:     

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Premises Manager to join our growing Team. 

As Premises Manager, you will lead and line manage the Maintenance Team, Domestic Team, and the Painter and Decorator, ensuring high standards of service delivery across the school. You will oversee the maintenance and development of the school's buildings and grounds, manage contractors, coordinate planned preventative maintenance, and respond promptly to site issues as they arise. You will also play a key role in supporting the school's operational needs, ensuring the premises provide a safe, welcoming, and effective environment for teaching and learning.

We are looking for some who:

  1. Holds a clean full driving licence
  2. Holds Qualifications relating to Health and Safety and/or COSHH
  3. Has significant experience in building maintenance, premises management and grounds maintenance – covering all trades
  4. Has line management experience

Significant building maintenance, premises management and grounds maintenance experience covering all trade areas (including decorating, plumbing, electrical and joinery)essential

Experience of working in a school
