Your Role

We are looking for a caring, motivated and resilient Casual Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our dedicated team on a casual basis. If you are passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEND), in a special school setting and helping them achieve their best each day, we would love to hear from you.


This is a challenging but ultimately rewarding opportunity to work in our busy school for pupils aged 2-11 with a range of severe learning difficulties and complex medical and care needs. Experience of working with children with special needs, particularly ASD, is preferred.  Individuals with a background working in medical or health care are also encouraged to apply. We have a comprehensive induction process and ongoing training program for all our staff.

Experience

Experience with SEND
Knowledge of SLD/ASD or special school environments
Awareness of communication strategies eg PECS, Makaton, ACC
Experience in care, health settings or EYFS
Willingness to train as a minibus driver
