Phase Lead TLR2B
Some teaching jobs ask you to join a school. This one asks you to help create one
At The Wolsey Park School, a brand-new specialist provision for children and young people with severe learning difficulties (SLD) and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), we are building a formidable team. We are looking for incredible teachers to help us build the very best specialist practice in our classrooms.
You will need resilience, drive and passion, as the school will be growing rapidly over the next few years, and our founding team will help lead the way, supporting new colleagues as they join. For this TLR position, the successful candidate will have passion and expertise for an area of specialist provision – perhaps communication, the arts, therapeutic approaches or early play – in which they have knowledge to share and the skills to model.
To establish the culture in which our learners and staff will thrive, we will:
• Ensure our shared values of aspiration, positivity and dignity are at the heart of everything we do
• Create a supportive, aspirational environment, where staff are trusted, valued and empowered to make a difference
• Invest in high-quality curriculum and SEND professional development
• Facilitate professional collaboration, research and innovation
Safeguarding our learners will be the highest priority. We will be relentless in our pursuit of a physically safe and emotionally secure environment. We commit to undertaking adapted, proactive safeguarding measures that address disability-related issues including communication barriers, and we expect all stakeholders to do the same.
If you could be part of the senior teaching team, creating a culture in which staff and learners thrive, then we would love to hear from you
Although the building is not quite ready for physical tours, the headteacher would be very pleased to talk with interested candidates. All prospective candidates are also welcome to meet with the Headteacher at an open day on Thursday 12th November. Pease contact Leigh Christensen, leighch@zmat.co.uk for details on how to book a place.
