Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference to the lives of young people with complex needs? Do you believe that behaviour is a form of communication and that every student deserves the right support, at the right time, to thrive? Are you authentic, compassionate and resilient? Can you inspire others, build strong relationships and champion inclusive practice?
We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Behaviour and Intervention Lead to play a key role within our wellbeing and behaviour structure. This is a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to develop a new Behaviour Intervention Team and shape the delivery of targeted behaviour support across our four learner pathways.
At Ravenscliffe High School, we are proud of our outstanding provision, our nurturing ethos and our commitment to ensuring every young person feels safe, understood and able to achieve their full potential. This role is central to that vision.
Working closely with the Head of Student Wellbeing, Safeguarding and Behaviour, you will coordinate targeted interventions and Positive Behaviour Support, ensuring our approaches are highly personalised, SEND-informed and grounded in strong relationships. You will support students through periods of challenge, help remove barriers to learning and work alongside staff, families and external professionals to secure the very best outcomes.
This is a highly visible role that combines intervention, coaching and oversight. You will play a key part in developing staff expertise, promoting consistent practice across the school and ensuring behaviour support enhances, rather than replaces, high-quality classroom provision.
Every day in a specialist setting is different. We are looking for someone with a positive, resilient and solution-focused approach. Someone who thrives on challenge, embraces complexity and is committed to making a genuine difference to the lives of children and young people. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys thinking creatively, finding practical solutions and helping others succeed.
Who we're looking for

• Has extensive experience supporting children and young people with SEND and complex behavioural needs.
• Understands Positive Behaviour Support, emotional regulation and trauma-informed practice.

• Is approachable, collaborative and committed to working positively across pathways, teams and professional disciplines.
• Can build strong, trusting relationships with students, families and colleagues.
• Has the professional confidence and curiosity to develop, test and implement innovative ideas that improve outcomes.
• Uses reflection, evidence and professional curiosity to continually improve practice.
• Is organised, resilient and able to remain calm when managing complex situations.
• Brings a positive, solution-focused "can-do" attitude to challenges and opportunities.
• Believes in inclusion, high expectations and the potential of every young person.
• Has the passion and determination to help shape and strengthen our behaviour support offer.
