We are a 3-16 all age fully inclusive Academy. Our school is on an exciting journey, and we are incredibly proud of the culture we are building here. Our recent Ofsted inspection highlighted the fantastic progress we have made as an academy, and we are looking for someone to join us as we take our next steps. We offer state-of-the-art facilities in an amazing £36 million building providing staff with the opportunity to teach in a cutting-edge and vibrant environment.

We are looking for enthusiastic and supportive English tutors to help pupils working towards a Grade 5 at GCSE English. Sessions to be held ideally between 3 .00 – 5.00 pm, but days can be arranged to suit your availability.

If you are passionate about helping pupils build confidence and achieve their goals in English, we’d love to hear from you!

Apply now and make a real difference to students’ success

WE ARE SEEKING A PASSIONATE CANDIDATE WHO:

·        Possesses relevant qualifications and have had experience in a similar environment.

·        Manages student learning through effective delivery of provided lesson plans, ensuring continuity and progression.

·        Facilitates and encourages a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.

·        Contributes to raising standards of student attainment throughout the Academy.

·        Motivates students to work hard and try their best.

·        Actively shares what works well and seeks to explore ways to improve their own and others’ practice.

·        Works hard to ensure all students are engaged in their learning irrespective of their starting point and individual needs.

·        Understands that behaviour management starts with the quality of teaching in the classroom.

·        Demonstrates personal resilience and role models those personal qualities we wish to instil in our young people.

YOUR MAIN DUTIES WOULD BE:

To provide additional academic support in English to Secondary School students, helping them strengthen subject knowledge, develop problem-solving skills, and build confidence in preparation for assessments and future studies.

IN RETURN, WE OFFER:

  • Continuous Professional Development (CPD): Access to National College training, subject-specific CPD, leadership pathways, and mentoring programs.
  • Career Progression: Clear pathways for growth, from early careers to leadership roles. We use a ‘touchbase’ informal approach to focus on professional development as well as an annual career conversation with your manager!
  • Wellbeing & Support: Leadership training focused on wellbeing, mental health resources, and staff networks.
  • Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI): Commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace, with ongoing EDI training and initiatives.
  • Automatic pay progression for teachers – we don’t have performance related appraisals and pay reviews!

  • A paid premium to a Healthcare Cash Plan to claim back contributions towards dental, optical and other medical costs via UK Healthcare.
  • 24/7 access to an Employee Assistance Programme.
  • Amazing benefits and discounts via UK Healthcare.
  • Fantastic facilities.

·        A lunch allowance for those colleagues volunteering to assist in lunchtime duties or activities.
