Your Role

Oakwood Primary Academy is looking to recruit a committed Receptionist and Administrative Assistant on a fixed term, term-time only basis to support our school community.

This is a varied and rewarding role. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors, parents and pupils, providing a warm and professional welcome while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school office.

  1. you have experience working in an administrative or reception role, ideally within a school or similar environment
  2. you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
  3. you are highly organised, with strong attention to details and the ability to manage competing priorities
  4. you are proactive, flexible and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  5. you are committed to supporting the safeguarding, wellbeing and success of all pupils

Qualifications

GCSE Maths and English grade 4-9 (A-C) or equivalentessential
Current first aid qualification (or willing to work towards)essential
NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in relevant discipline or willingness to work towardsdesirable

Experience

Previous experience of reception workessential
Previous experience of undertaking a range of administrative dutiesessential
Experience of working as part of a teamessential
Experience of working in a school environment
Experience of establishing positive relationships with young people and families in diverse communities

Experience/Knowledge

Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, the legal and organisational requirements for maintaining health, safety, and security of yourself and othersessential
