We aSouthern Cross School, part of Ambition Community Trust are pleased to share an exciting opportunity to appoint a Pupil Wellbeing Lead to develop our Pathways Programme, work with families and pupils to engage them with learning to develop their life skills over time.


The role will involve:

• Promoting the school values of positivity, understanding and personalised

• Support curriculum offers in line with our Pathways Strategy

• Being able to support and manage dysregulated behaviour effectively

• Helping children develop a sense of worth, identity and achievement

• Supporting all children to learn effective, safe, ways of communicating their needs

• Working with parents to support pupil’s learning

• Leading on attendance strategies

• Helping all children to make positive choices

• Manage a team of staff


The successful applicant will:

• Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Have a sound knowledge of safeguarding framework and regulations

• Be directly answerable to the Headteacher and undertake tasks as directed

• Possess good literacy and communication skills for report writing

• Be flexible in their approach to work

• Possess emotional resilience due to the nature of the work

• Be able to build and maintain strong pupil relationships

• Take an active role in their own supervision


You will fully participate in the life of the school, assisting where needed, supporting our most vulnerable pupils. We want candidates who are able to see the possibilities of all our exceptional learners and to develop a provision to make them thrive.


Payroll (If selected):

  1. Staff members receive their salary on the 15th of each month, covering the hours worked during that month.


  1. For full time staff members, in accordance with the ACT Employee Contract, the full-time equivalent (FTE) hours will be 36 hours per week. However, full time staff will only be required to work—and will be paid for—35 hours per week.
