This is a great opportunity to shape the future of a vibrant, inclusive primary and nursery school at the heart of its Nottingham community, supported by a strong and collaborative Trust.

Our school is proud of its nurturing ethos, commitment to inclusion, and focus on developing the whole child. We are now looking for a Head Teacher who can build on these foundations, provide strategic leadership, and ensure every child receives an excellent education and the best possible start in life.

About the role

As Head Teacher, you will provide clear, confident and compassionate leadership, setting the strategic direction for the school while maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and safeguarding. You will work closely with a committed Governing Body and be supported by the wider Equals Trust team.

You will also join the Trust’s Leadership Group, working alongside other Head Teachers and the central team to shape Trust-wide strategy, share best practice and benefit from strong peer support.

We are looking for a Head Teacher who:

  • Has a clear and compelling vision for primary and early years education
  • Is an inspiring and credible leader with the ability to motivate, challenge and support others
  • Demonstrates strong emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills
  • Is a strong staff leader
  • Builds excellent partnerships with pupils, families and the wider community
  • Is committed to inclusion, equity and safeguarding excellence

In return, we offer:

  • The opportunity to lead a well-established and valued primary and nursery school
  • Genuine autonomy as Head Teacher, with the strength and support of Equals Trust
  • A supportive and engaged Governing Body
  • High-quality professional development and leadership collaboration across the Trust
  • The chance to influence Trust-wide strategy and contribute to system leadership
  • Employee Assistance Programme

Visits and applications

Visits to the school are strongly encouraged and warmly welcomed. This is an opportunity to experience the school’s ethos first-hand and meet members of the team. The current Head Teacher, Linda Barbuti will be delighted to show you round.
