Your Role

We are seeking a Learning Resource Centre Assistant to help create an engaging, welcoming and well-organised learning environment for our students. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Learning Resource Centre, supporting students and staff to access a wide range of resources, promoting reading for pleasure, and helping to develop students' independent learning and study skills. Working closely with the Whole School Reading Co-ordinator, you will play a key role in fostering a positive reading culture across the Academy.

We are looking for someone who:

  1. Has excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  2. Can communicate effectively with students, staff and other stakeholders.
  3. Enjoys working with young people and can build positive relationships.
  4. Is confident using ICT and information retrieval systems.
  5. Is self-motivated, reliable and flexible in their approach to work.
  6. Has a passion for reading and supporting students' learning and development.
  7. Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
