Your Role

This role offers the opportunity to work directly within a vibrant secondary academy, building trusted relationships with staff and leaders on a daily basis. At the same time, you will be professionally supported and coached by the L.E.A.D. Academy Trust Central HR Team, giving you access to wider expertise, guidance and development opportunities.

Your work will directly support recruitment, safeguarding, employee records, training and day-to-day HR processes – helping to ensure colleagues feel supported and that statutory requirements are met.

If you enjoy working with people, managing detail and contributing to a positive workplace culture, we would love to hear from you.

About the role

You will support the full employee lifecycle, including:

  • End-to-end recruitment and onboarding
  • Producing contracts and managing employee records
  • Maintaining the Single Central Record and safer recruitment compliance
  • Absence monitoring and appraisal tracking
  • Coordinating inductions and training records
  • Providing day-to-day HR guidance to staff and leaders
  • Supporting employee relations processes alongside the Central HR Team

You will also contribute to improving HR systems and processes and work closely with senior leaders, governors, external agencies and Trust colleagues.

What we are looking for

We are seeking someone who:

  • Has excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Is confident using Microsoft Office and HR systems
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
  • Has experience handling confidential information
  • Is committed to learning and professional development (CIPD Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards)

Previous HR experience and/or experience in an education setting would be advantageous.

Why join Noel-Baker Academy and L.E.A.D. Academy Trust?

You will be part of a supportive Trust community where your contribution genuinely matters. Benefits include:

  • Coaching and development from the Central HR Team
  • Competitive salary with progression
  • Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Enhanced annual leave entitlement
  • Employee Assistance Programme and Online GP access
  • CPD opportunities
  • Occupational Health and physiotherapy support
  • Access to staff discounts and wellbeing benefits

At L.E.A.D., our core principles — Lead, Empower, Achieve and Drive — underpin everything we do.
