UTC Leeds is looking to appoint a Business Engagement Lead & KS5 Academic Progress colleague to join our committed and dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for links with businesses and student workplace skills development.

UTC Leeds offers high-tech, cutting-edge facilities and a first-class educational experience. We are the first school in Leeds to provide high-quality academic and vocational training focussed specifically on the engineering and advanced technology sectors. Inspiring the next generation of leading engineers, scientists and innovators is our core vision, and our students leave UTC Leeds with strong ambitions to succeed coupled with advanced skills for the modern-day workplace.

We are proud to be a part of The Resilience Multi Academy Trust which has a reputation for high expectations for all, an innovative curriculum and excellent staff/student relationships. It is regarded as one of the most successful Trusts in the country and is recognised as an organisation that does things differently. Our academies are a place where staff can develop their skills and find their own style and methods of teaching. Colleagues learn and grow alongside our students and feel that they are making a real difference to the lives of those they teach. We believe that traditional values of discipline and respect are sacrosanct. We do not tolerate bullying, defiance or rudeness, and this has made for a harmonious and safe learning environment for our young people and a supportive environment for staff.

The successful candidate will enjoy access to high-quality CPD. You will also be joining a happy Trust where 95% of colleagues agreed that they enjoy working here and 92% would recommend us to a friend or colleague (taken from 2022 staff wellbeing survey). Our commitment to staff wellbeing means we prioritise staff mental health, drive down unnecessary workload and support our colleagues to progress in their careers.

This role provides a real opportunity for you to make your mark, and as a growing Trust with an excellent reputation and access to high-quality CPD for all, there are always opportunities for career development.

The Resilience Multi Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff, volunteers, visitors and contractors to share this commitment. About Us

We are committed to doing things differently – creating academies that students want to attend and where teachers want to work.
