Required from September 2026

We are looking to appoint an inspiring and outstanding classroom practitioner to join our Performing Arts team here at Myton; we are looking for someone who is ambitious and able to share their enthusiasm and passion for drama with all their students and colleagues.

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Teacher of Drama to join our creative team delivering Key Stages 3,4 and 5. You would be joining an outstanding department, that challenges and inspires our students, encourages them to be aspirational in their achievements both in the classroom and beyond it. Whether you are looking for a full or part time position, we would welcome your application.

Being part of Myton School’s drama department would mean being part of a team that aims to foster a love of learning by using outstandingly taught lessons; key stage and industry focused clubs; theatre trips domestic and overseas; showcases and whole school performances.

At Myton we are proud of the supportive and rewarding environment we have created. We have high standards and a good reputation, built upon the hard work and dedication of our staff. We recruit people who are passionate about education and young people, and who have the knowledge, drive and personal qualities to inspire our students.

In short, we are a popular, high performing school with academy status, situated between Warwick and Leamington Spa with a strong community spirit. Our staff offer students a massive range of extra-curricular opportunities in addition to a wide curriculum and we would be delighted to expand this further if you have additional time and talents to share.

You will have access to a range of personal and professional development opportunities plus Westfield Health benefits and Staff Wellbeing initiatives to support you along the way.

We encourage applications from ECTs looking to secure a role after training and we can provide outstanding induction and support from our strong team of mentors and our well established training programmes.

If you feel you share our values, have the vision and drive for excellence and want to be part of an enthusiastic and dedicated team, committed to ensuring that students fulfil their potential, then we would like to hear from you. Our Head of Department Abbie Arliss is keen to hear from you via email as arliss.a@myton.co.uk

We are part of Stowe Valley Multi Academy Trust, led by Southam College (an Ofsted Outstanding school). This has enhanced our ability to offer inspirational and supportive leadership and CPD for all of our staff.
