Our Learning Support department is collaborative, high-performing, and student-focused. You’ll be joining a highly experienced and supportive team that meets each morning, shares resources, and benefits from dedicated whole-school Teaching and Learning CPD alongside mentor support for new team members.


A day in your new role could see you:-

  1. implementing structured learning activities to support individual students or groups in English, maths, science, and other subject areas.
  2. developing positive relationships with students to support their progress, attainment, and personal development.
  3. assisting in monitoring, recording, and reviewing students' progress, barriers, and individual targets.
  4. supporting students with an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP) or specific learning and medical/care needs.
  5. assisting teachers with classroom management, student behaviour, and the preparation of learning resources.
  6. supervising and supporting during After School / Homework clubs held in our library.
  7. utilising our two newly refurbished Learning Support suites with ICT facilities and interactive whiteboards to deliver effective interventions.

Qualifications

GCSE/NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics / Numeracyessential
