Trust Lead for Mathematics
Weydon Multi Academy Trust (WMAT)
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: Leadership Scale L15–L19
Location: Farnham, Surrey (Trust-wide role with travel across schools)
Contract: Full time
Closing Date: 20th April 2026
Weydon Multi Academy Trust is seeking an exceptional Trust Lead for Mathematics to join us at a pivotal point in our development, as we continue to strengthen curriculum coherence, teaching quality and outcomes in Mathematics across our partnership of schools.
This is a key trust-wide leadership role, reflecting WMAT’s commitment to high-quality, inclusive Mathematics education and to sustained improvement through strong subject scholarship, collaboration and disciplined professional practice.
The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping and leading Mathematics across the Trust, working closely with Headteachers, subject leaders and Trust colleagues – particularly the Executive Director of Academy Improvement – to secure ambitious outcomes for all pupils from Key Stage 2 through to Key Stage 5.
This role combines strategic leadership with practical, hands-on influence. You will lead the Trust’s FLOW Mathematics curriculum and assessment approach, support schools through evaluation and targeted improvement, and build leadership and teaching capacity through coaching, professional learning and strong subject networks. Where appropriate, the role also includes time‑limited teaching or modelling to support improvement and develop staff expertise.
We are looking for an experienced and credible Mathematics leader – whether currently a highly effective Head of Department, subject lead or trust‑level leader – who is motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference at scale, and who shares the Trust’s commitment to collaboration, inclusion and excellence.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Mathematics specialist to join a thriving and values‑led Trust, where subject leadership is taken seriously and where professional learning, trust and collective responsibility sit at the heart of how we work.
Applications are welcomed from leaders with a strong track record of improving Mathematics outcomes, deep subject knowledge, and the ability to work with influence across phases and settings.
